Nestled in the heart of Tuscany at Via G. Traversi, 95 in the charming town of Luco di Mugello, Bar Pizzeria Valeri is an inviting Tuscan restaurant where traditional flavors and genuine hospitality come alive. This local gem offers a cozy, down-to-earth atmosphere that perfectly complements its rich culinary heritage, making every visit an unforgettable experience.
At Bar Pizzeria Valeri, the spotlight shines brilliantly on authentic Tuscan cuisine with a special emphasis on handmade pasta and wood-fired pizzas. Their tortelli di patate, a signature dish, is nothing short of spectacular. Whether smothered in a hearty boar ragù, a delicate duck ragù, or simply bathed in fragrant melted butter and fresh sage, each bite bursts with deep, rustic flavors that transport you straight to the Tuscan countryside. Seasonal truffle and porcini variants further elevate the dish, showcasing the kitchen’s dedication to freshness and local ingredients.
Pizza lovers will find themselves equally enchanted. From the simple yet delightful Margherita, crowned with velvety mozzarella and sun-ripened tomato, to the richly adorned Capricciosa loaded with mushrooms, spicy salami, and savory sausage, each pizza offers a perfectly blistered crust with balanced toppings. The Maialona, featuring a savory combination of wurstel and prosciutto, is a comforting choice that captures the essence of Italian casual dining.
The menu extends beyond pasta and pizza, offering vibrant sides like grilled seasonal vegetables, crisp fried potatoes, and fresh mixed salads dressed with local olive oil. Every dish reflects the straightforward, hearty nature of Tuscan cooking — simple yet full of soul.
Many patrons admire the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, who go above and beyond to create a welcoming environment. As one guest, Edwin D., shares, "Super friendly staff that’s very welcoming and great food. They go out of their way to make you feel at home." This genuine hospitality complements the rich flavors on the plate, making the dining experience truly memorable.
Whether you’re craving rustic tortelli paired with robust Toscana wines or a piping hot pizza fresh from the oven, Bar Pizzeria Valeri offers an authentic taste of Tuscany that enchants food lovers and comfort seekers alike. Frequent visitors, like Karolina Grygiel, advise booking ahead – a testament to its growing popularity and consistently excellent fare.
In the end, dining at Bar Pizzeria Valeri is more than just a meal — it’s an intimate journey through Tuscan culinary artistry, where every dish sings with passion and tradition, leaving you with a deep sense of satisfaction and warmth.

We were there few times with my family and the food was always amazing. Tortelli with ragu, pizza and ravioli are delicious. If you want to eat there, book a table in advance as they are often full :) thank you for your hospitality. Regards, Karolina

A lovely #Italian food getaway in the middle of Tuscany. Their Ravioli are sublime, with their specialty being potato ravioli covered in boar ragu. If you love Italian food this is definitely a place to visit. They also have giant tuscan steaks that can be shared by up to 3 people. Definitely a place for meat lovers, but especially lovers of great food.

Simple down to earth local cuisine. We had crostini and tortelli with Ragu very yummies. They also do pizzas and next time would try also Stinco di Maiale !

This is the best restaurant of the entire region (and I’ve tried quite a few). The tortelli are simply SPECTACULAR. Try them with the boarg ragú. My favourites were the spinach and ricotta ravioli, with burro e salvia (butter and salvia). The meat… oh, what can I say.. mouthwatering, the softest tender meat I’ve tried in the region. We also tried the breakfast. The most creamy coffees and they have lactose free options!! Well done! Plus, the amazing service. Thank you for your kindness. I would love to come back.

Superb pizza and pasta. Very accommodating to our large work party and a great introduction to Florentine food!
